Our hope is in the correction of God, which brings life and as scripture says happiness. Different happiness than of the world. Happiness that comes from the discipline of the heavenly Father is longlasting. It’s more internal than external. The question is weather we despise or not His chastening. Every child need correction and we are the children of God. Many times in my life I despised God’s correction. He never gave up on me and will never give up on you. If I could go back I would thank Him for it instead of despising it. He is looking for thankful attitude while He corrects through difficult circumstances. If you give it to Him, you will be blessed with great spiritual blessings that are more precious than gold and silver. This beautiful scripture from the book of Job is full of hope for us:
“Behold, happy is the man whom God corrects;
Therefore do not despise the chastening of the Almighty. For He bruises, but He binds up;
He wounds, but His hands make whole.
He shall deliver you in six troubles, Yes, in seven no evil shall touch you.
In famine He shall redeem you from death, And in war from the power of the sword.
You shall be hidden from the scourge of the tongue, And you shall not be afraid of destruction when it comes.
Job 5:15-21 NKJV
